“Strings for the Holidays”

Due to the recent restrictions in York Region, our Holiday Concert will be virtual only.  (no live audience). Stay tuned for more information soon.

 

Maestro Michael Berec leads the York Strings in a Holiday concert featuring Locatelli’s “Concerto Grosso Christmas”, Liszt’s “Angelus”, Sibelius’ “Andante Festivo” and other holiday favourites.

Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a limit of 50 guests. Tickets must be purchased in advance online. There will be no ticket sales at the door. Masks must be worn and physical distancing will be required.

What to expect when attending our concerts:

  1. You will be asked pre-screening questions before entering the building. Entrance may be denied if you answer YES to any of these questions:
    • Are you or anyone from your household experiencing any of the following symptoms : fever, dry cough, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, runny nose, headache, fatigue, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, chills ?
    • Have you been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 14 days ?
    • Have you or anyone from your household tested positive for COVID-19 ?
    • Have you traveled internationally in the past 14 days ?
  2. You are required to wear a mask.
  3. You are required to sanitize your hands when you enter the building.
  4. Present your printed/digital ticket for scanning.
  5. Wait to be seated by an usher.
  6. Maintain physical distancing of 2m as much as possible.
  7. The concert will be approximately 1 hour long with no intermission.
  8. Refreshments will NOT be served, but you are welcome to bring your own water bottle

Note: Since circumstances can evolve on a daily basis, refunds will be available should the concert need to be cancelled due to the pandemic.
