Come to hear the YCE’s first concert of the season, BACH ROCKS: you will be very glad you did! Warlock’s ‘Capriol Suite’ is a modern work, written in a Baroque style. Ancient dance music and gorgeous melodies come alive again in this unique work for string orchestra. Bach’s Third Brandenburg Concerto perhaps needs no introduction, since it is adored by lovers of baroque music everywhere. Our soloist, Harrison Jarvis will be performing a keyboard concerto of J.S. Bach, which may be the highlight of the evening. 14-year old Jarvis has just returned from summer studies at the renowned Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, and we are very proud to call him “Aurora’s Own”.
