Join the York Chamber Ensemble on Saturday October 21, 7:30pm at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Newmarket for a musical journey featuring the timeless battle between light and darkness, virtue and temptation, and “Angels and Demons.” The ensemble explores the soundscapes of both celestial grace and infernal passion through such musical works as Barber’s ethereal Adagio for Strings, Tartini’s “The Devil’s Trill,” Canadian composer François Dompierre’s Les Beautés du diable and music from the film Angels and Demons by Hans Zimmer.
